The following guide describes how to install the Archie Android app
1. Download the Archie Android app ‘APK’ file by opening the following link on your Android smartphone and tapping ‘Download Archie Android Installer’:
2. The screen will show the file is being dowloaded:
3. When the installer has finished downloading, tap ‘Open’:
4. You may be prompted to ‘Allow unknown applications from Chrome’ - if so, select ‘Settings’. If not, please skip to step 6:
5. Within the settings screen, enable ‘Allow from this source’ then use the back arrow ‘<‘ to return to the previous screen:
6. On the Archie popup, choose ‘Install’:
7. When the app has finished installing, you can open immediately or choose ‘Done’ to complete the installation process:
8. The first time you run Archie, you will be prompted to allow the app to use the device camera - we recommend selecting ‘While using the app’ (this doesn’t affect any other app’s use of the camera):
